Young Runners Shine at Inaugural Mustang Mile

The inaugural Mustang Mile, held on Saturday, October 12, brought together young runners from across Munster for an unforgettable day of fitness, fun, and sportsmanship. The event featured enthusiastic participation from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students representing Frank Hammond, Eads, Elliott, and St. Paul’s elementary schools. Cheered on by families, friends, and school staff, students gave their all on the course and showcased impressive athleticism and determination. Frank Hammond Elementary emerged as the dominant force of the day, claiming both the Boys Team Champion and Girls Team Champion titles. Top Individual Finishers Girls Division: 1. Silvie Harper 2. Emill Galuszka From start to finish, the Mustang Mile was filled with smiles, high-fives, and a strong sense of camaraderie. It was an incredible day of energy, effort, and encouragement. MHS Cross Country is so proud of all the kids who came out to run and support one another. This is just the beginning of what we hope becomes a lasting tradition.
